Lost & Found is a slow-motion montage of objects falling underwater, inspired by actual items left behind in hotels. Ranging from personal electronic devices and clothing to toys and everyday necessities, the belongings are either forgotten or abandoned after moments of leisure and escape. Together, they form an incomplete yet intimate portrait of the anonymous lives that briefly passed through these spaces.
The work adopts the looping visual language of screensavers and online relaxation videos, accompanied by a soundtrack not unlike countless hours-long recordings of natural ambience designed to lull listeners to sleep. Suspended between calmness and estrangement, it invites reflection on transience, globalized consumer culture, hospitality amid a looming climate crisis, as well as the material and emotional residue embedded in the future artifacts of our time.
